Dekra Award 2019 honours innovations in four categories- apply now

Applicants for the 2019 DEKRA Award now have until September 13, 2019 to submit their entries for the best security solutions. The expert organisation DEKRA and the German magazine Wirtschaftswoche will present the annual award on October 23, 2019 in Berlin. Companies and organisations can submit their projects in four categories. The award is being sponsored by www.grü

New category for start-ups

A fourth, cross-sectional category on start-ups is being added to the existing categories focusing on safety in traffic, safety at work and safety at home. “This new category means that young innovative startups do not have to compete with the budgets and processes of established companies,” said Dr. Kerim Galal, Executive Vice President Strategy and Innovation at DEKRA. The category will focus on the potential and benefits of their forward-looking ideas.

Audience decides winner of start-up pitch

“Gründerszene is a network partner with a leading platform in the digital economy and is well linked to the start-up scene,” Galal noted. Carlos Bhola, co-Founder of Circ and Managing Partner of Celsius Capital, is also on the jury, which will choose the winners in three categories. The audience will decide the winner of the new category depending on the start-up pitch.
